Another security guard from SGA security has shot himself dead at Mukwasi House, Lumumba Avenue.

The yet to be identified man gunned himself on Thursday afternoon and his body was taken to city mortuary for postmortem.

Police is still investigating the circumstances that might have pushed the private guard into committing suicide.

The Thursday shooting has escalated the spate of deaths by shootings from security operatives.

In May alone, police has so far registered over 5 incidents where security personnel have either shot themselves or others to death. These killings began with the shooting of state minister for lands Charles Okello Engola by his guard private Wilson Sabiiti on May 2nd.

By press time police had not yet issued an official statement about the Thursday shooting.
