The International Olympic Committee (IOC)’s decision to expel the International Boxing Association (IBA) from the Olympic Movement on June 23 leaves the future of amateur boxers in limbo. Three Ugandan table tennis players, who include two girls, are highly-rated in the latest Africa rankings. Jemimah Nakawala, Judith Parvin Nangonzi and Samuel Ankunda Mbabazi are rated in the top five seeds in the continent’s U-13 and U-15 categories’ best players. KCCA FC have appointed Jackson Magera Kaddu as their first-team. Magera, who led SC Villa to third-place finish in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League last season, was confirmed on Thursday, June 22. According to a statement issued on the club website, Magera was given a three-year contract, which starts on July 1.
