OLYMPIC QUALIFIERS: Crested Cranes Prepare for Rwanda

The national women’s football team, the Crested Cranes, will enter residential camp on Thursday, June 29 as they step up preparations for the upcoming Olympic qualifiers.

The Crested Cranes are to host their Rwandan counterparts on July 11 for the first of the two-legged first round qualifiers as they bid to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games due in Paris, France.

FUFA Spokesman Ahmed Hussein confirmed on Wednesday, June 28 that 35 players on the provisional squad are set to report at Kisasi-based Cranes Paradise hotel on Thursday for residential training.

The winner between Uganda Crested Cranes and Rwanda will face Cameroon in the round of qualifiers.
