KCCA FC’s newly-appointed manager Sergio Traguil arrived in the country on Tuesday, June 27 and assured the club fraternity that he’s ready for the job, starting on July 1.

Speaking moments after landing at Entebbe International Airport, Traguil stated that he wants bring back the glory days at KCCA FC by winning trophies.

“KCCA FC is a big club with winning mentality so I have to bring back the trophies and that’s the major task at hand,” he told the club website.

The Portuguese arrived with his backroom staff, including Luis Manuel Correira, the assistant and Cuban Eduardo Lazaro Raman Leiva, the strength and conditioning coach.

Correira and Leiva were part of Traguil’s technical staff at Township Rollers FC in the Botswana topflight league.

The pair will be assisted by former SC Villa tactician Jackson Magera who was appointed KCCA’s first-team coach last week.

Traguil takes over from Jackson Mayanja who was appointed in interim capacity when former coach Morley Byekwaso resigned in April this year. Mayanja led KCCA to the runners-up spot in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
