SC Villa,Vipers Kick Off FUFA Super Eight Tourney

Vipers SC, the StarTimes Uganda Premier League champions and Uganda Cup holders, take on BUL FC in the FUFA Super Eight tournament opener slated for Thursday, August 10 at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.

On the same day, former league champions SC Villa will host Maroons FC at the Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.

According to the draws conducted by local football governing body, FUFA, who are the organisers of the tournament, Wakiso Giants will battle KCCA FC while URA FC play Bright Stars on Friday, August 11 in the other quarterfinal pairings.

The winner of the pre-season final warm up tournament will walk away with Shs 20 million while the runners-up get Shs 12 million. There is Shs 10 million, 8 million and 6 million for the third, fourth and fifth finishers respectively.
