UGAND CUP QUARTERFINAL FIXTURES:

Wednesday, March 15@4pm:

Express vs Paidha Black Angels

Onduparaka vs BUL FC

Express FC coach James Odoch warned his players against complacency ahead of their scheduled Uganda Cup quarterfinal match against lower division Paidha Black Angels.

The Red Eagles, as Express are nicknamed, host Paidha Black Angels on Wednesday, March 15 at the Muteesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.

Speaking ahead of the game, Odoch cautioned his players against underestimating Paidha Black Angels.

“The most important thing is not to take our opponents for granted because they managed to make it to this round. They have also been playing well in the regional league,” Odoch stated.

In comparison, Paidha features in the West Nile Regional League while Express FC is one of the topflight sides in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

Furthermore, Express have a record 10 Uganda Cup trophies are under belt but Odoch is aware of the shocks and surprises synonymous with knockout football tournaments.

To reach to the quarterfinal stage, Express eliminated Lugazi FC after a 1-0 victory in the round-of-32. Paidha Black Angels ejected Kisugu United after a boardroom decision annulled the latter’s 4-3 penalty shootout win, for using an ineligible player.

In the other fixture on Wednesday, Onduparaka FC will host BUL FC at the Green-light stadium in Arua.

Beyond Kyankwanzi Lies Uganda’s Next Public Service Revolution

    By Kalikumutima DeoJune 19, 20260

Uganda has spent decades developing policies and reform strategies, but citizens judge government differently—by whether services are delivered efficiently and fairly. A new commentary argues that the country’s next phase of transformation must focus on faster service delivery, accountability, meritocracy and a citizen-first culture if public trust and economic growth are to improve.
