Uganda Cup Preview: All Set for Round-of-64 Games

The knockout Stanbic Uganda Cup tournament returns on Sunday, January 29 with the round-of-64 matches at different venues across the country.

Four games are on the menu, with FUFA Big League sides NEC FC, Kitara FC, Soroti City FC and Luweero United, all in action. NEC will travel to Pajule Lions in Pader district; Soroti City take on Junior Eagles at Soroti stadium while Kitara play Free Stars FC at NARO Ntawo playground and Blue Stars host Luweero United at Sunzu playground in Kikuube district.

Admin FC will host Northern Gateway FC in a clash of the FUFA regional tier sides.

Meanwhile, the big boys who include Cup holders BUL FC, the StarTimes Uganda Premier League giants and former winners Express FC, KCCA FC, SC Villa and Vipers SC, will join the fray later on in the week.  

BUL start their Stanbic Uganda Cup defense against lower division Sparks SC; Express FC will play against Kajjansi United; KCCA FC play KJT FC while SC Villa will take on Kireka United.

The StarTimes Uganda Premier League champions, Vipers, will launch their chase for a dream domestic double against Bujumbura FC. The games will be played between January 30 and February 3.
