In a tantalizing buildup to the Uganda Premier League showdown on December 22, SC Villa and KCCA FC are set to ignite the pitch with football fireworks. This clash promises to be a thrilling spectacle, offering local football fans a timely Christmas gift after years of scarce competitive encounters due to the league’s diminished standards.

KCCA FC is riding high on confidence following a resounding 3-0 victory over Bright Stars. Their recent performance demonstrated dominance and flair as they turned off the Bright Stars in emphatic style at the Phillip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo. Goals from Muhammad Shaban, Usama Arafat, and Emmanuel Loki had their home fans roaring with delight.

The man behind KCCA’s resurgence is coach Abdallah ‘Tabliq’ Mubiru, who took the reins from Portuguese manager Sergio Traguil. Mubiru was under scrutiny after consecutive losses to Mbarara City FC and Busoga United but found solace in the victory over Bright Stars. He remarked, “It is a very good win for us to restore our confidence. I am happy with the boys’ display in this game.” This victory marked Mubiru’s second win in four matches, the first being against Gaddafi FC.

On the flip side, the record 16-time Uganda league champions, SC Villa, secured a slender 1-0 win over Jinja-based Gaddafi FC on Wednesday, December 13, at Wankulukuku. Despite creating numerous scoring opportunities, the Jogoos, as Villa is affectionately known, were let down by their inefficient strikers.

On paper, SC Villa appears to be the stronger side, currently occupying fifth place in the 16-team table with 19 points. In contrast, KCCA finds itself languishing in 13th place with just 10 points from 11 games, perilously close to the relegation zone.

However, football history has taught us that when these cross-city rivals lock horns on the field, sparks fly, and the intensity reaches its zenith. Expect a fiercely competitive showdown between SC Villa and KCCA FC, where tradition and rivalry combine to create unforgettable moments.

I have been surfing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting
article like yours. It’s pretty worth enough for me.
In my opinion, if all site owners and bloggers made
good content as you did, the net will be much more useful than ever before.

Brewing Diplomacy: How Uganda’s Coffee Won New Friends in Tokyo

By KENNETH BARIGYEOctober 16, 20250

At the 2025 Specialty Coffee Association of Japan Expo, Uganda’s coffee story took a bold new turn. With government and embassy support, producers shared a single booth—and a single message: quality, sustainability, and unity. The result was more than trade—it was diplomacy in a cup. From Arabica highlands to Robusta heartlands, Uganda is brewing a global reputation one roast at a time.
